High-throughput Genomics & Systems Biology

We do Epigenomics Data Science. We collect, polish, and integrate large datasets of epigenomic measurements (e.g. RNA sequencing, ChIP-seq, BiS-seq and others) and apply methods from machine learning to answer different biological questions around the topic of gene regulation in human disease. Together with experimental groups we validate predictions that we make to advance biology and medicine.

1/8/2016 - Our work about condition-specific learning for miRNA-transcript interactions was selected for presentation at GCB 2016 in Berlin.

28/4/2016 - Our KREATION approach for de novo transcriptome assembly was published in Bioinformatics.

4/4/2016 - First study using RAPID, in which we discover small RNAs that induce heterochromatin formation was accepted at Nucleic Acids Research.

22/2/2016 - Our work about multitask learning for miRNA-transcript interactions was selected for presentation at RECOMB-CCB 2016.
